TranSmart is part of the program management team for the CTA Red Line Extension project and is leading the real estate acquisition management plan, assisting with the development of the system operations management plan, and supporting FTA coordination oversight.

Real Estate Acquisition Management Plan

Develop a real estate acquisition management plan in compliance with FTA Circular 5010 to support the Red Line Extension project's development for future FFGA approval; also update as needed to reflect any realignment or scope changes affecting real estate acquisition costs, scope, or schedule

 

System Operations Management Plan

Support the systems operations and maintenance plan’s implementation for all aspects of Red Line Extension’s regular operations and maintenance, which will inform the development of project-specific, Phase II design criteria; develop system and resource requirements; and also develop different possible scenarios for interruptions and emergencies—including service recovery strategies for each

 

Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Grant Coordination Oversight

Support FTA coordination including New Starts grant application process (Phase I: project development to Phase II engineering) and to Full Funding Grant Application Process (Phase II) throughout contract duration—preparation of materials, presentations, meeting minutes, and revised documents per FTA feedback, as well as meeting participation.
