As a subconsultant, TranSmart performed a peer review of the overall highway plan set design, and a quality review of intersections and adjacent highway segments for the reconstruction of a five-legged, roundabout intersection and upgrades to the adjacent segments of US 20. TranSmart reviewed preliminary design features and horizontal geometry and made recommendations; performed horizontal and vertical clearance checks for various overweight and oversize-designed vehicles; and advised on maintenance of traffic (MOT) staging plans. TranSmart also prepared signing plans for intersection and approaches, and signing details for directional signs.
